Description Responsibilities

Java development on new web projects and then maintenance of web site for production/support and troubleshooting skills.
Technical design of new web features.
Occasionally providing assistance to the other Java developers.
Communicating with the client, other team members, project manager & management.
Supporting the project manager with effort estimations, status reporting, and project planning.


Requirements/Skills

5 years of strong technical skills with extensive hands-on experience in ALL of the following: J2EE on Websphere 6+, RAD, Struts 1.2 (Struts 2.0 is a plus), Spring 2.x, Hibernate 3.x and Subversion.
1 year experience in developing customer facing (B2C) Internet web applications is a must.
Experience on Linux/Unix operating systems is a plus.
Experience in Test driven development is a plus.
Software Development Methodology (RUP, Agile) good analytical and debugging skills; systematic approach to programming tasks.
Good communication and interpersonal skills with ability to multi-task and collaborate on team efforts.

Education/Experience

BS degree in Computer Science/Related field
Preferred certified Sun Certified Java Programmer (SCJP) and Sun Certified Web Component Developer.
Highly motivated, self-starter, willing to mentor.
Embraces change, ability to adopt, quick thinker.
Team Player who can work independently and direct others.
