DescriptionWe are currently working with a proprietary trading organization headquartered in Chicago, which trades across a wide range of asset classes both domestically and internationally. They are looking for a Financial Application Engineer to have responsibility in supporting their European Markets.
These responsibilities involve providing trading application support, moving software releases from development to production, working closely with the various development teams in support and training, documentation, support all automated jobs and services, processes, and help improve software management.
Experience and Skills:
* 4+ years working in a Microsoft Windows Server and Desktop environment
* 2+ years working with Unix (Red Hat Enterprise Linux is a plus)
* 2+ years working with Microsoft SQL Server; database installations, upgrades and maintenance
* Some knowledge or previous experience working in the trading Industry
* Must be able to demonstrate technical problem solving skills
* Must be well versed in a scripting language on both the Microsoft and Unix platforms
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Excellent documentation and knowledge management skills
