The Senior Technical Consultant will work with both the client and internal team members to gather requirements, design, code, test and implement the customer requirements while mentoring Consultants on the team.  As a Senior Consultant, individuals will naturally develop a primary area of expertise in either a business/functional or technical capacity but will also be called on to help in any capacity depending on client needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assume hands-on project implementation duties in all phases of an automation project, reporting to the Project Manager
  • Provide business analysis and troubleshooting in requirements gathering, design, testing, implementation, and support of the process automation solutions for the client’s business needs
  • Gain industry and process automation expertise through client projects and training
  • Present the automation solution to client users supervised by manager or higher levels
  • Gather and document business requirements, configuration designs, test plans/results, and any other deliverables required by the project as determined by the Project Manager
  • Provide guidance to more junior team members on specific required client deliverables
  • Serve as a mentor and role model for more junior team members
  • Keep Line Manager and Project Manager(s) informed regarding the status of assigned responsibilities
  • Adhere to automation best practices across all process automation deliverables
  • Follow documentation standards and resolution process flow for all deliverables
  • Maintain full charge-ability on client account(s) as assigned

Required Experience:
  • 2-6 years of designing, coding, configuring, testing or implementing customized software solutions is strongly preferred. 
  • Software development experience in the following:  .Net 3.0 or higher, C#, Windows Workflow Foundation, XAML, SQL, and Scrum/Agile development methodology experience is strongly preferred.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Economics, or a related IT field or equivalent experience in a related field
  • Solid understanding of the business value chain in the energy and/or health care industries is preferred. 
  • Solid understanding of several process life cycles within the energy or health care industries
  • Ability to work as part of a project team structure or independently as necessary
  • Ability to work onsite at client locations primarily located in and around Houston, TX
