Join the development team at this established, profitable enterprise software company developing high-volume data processing systems for global Fortune100 customers. Work with smart, experienced, knowledgeable people to solve very hard technical problems to make businesses run better, while having significant input into design decisions and suffering little in the way of office politics. Business is booming! Excellent compensation, work environment, balance here. There are some good opportunities to mentor some really bright, high-potential junior software engineers too, if that's your thing.

They're seeking software engineers with 5-10+ year track records in enterprise software. You should have played a key role in developing large, complex back-end OOD software systems, particularly those having to do with data-driven, data-centric and/or distributed systems. Strong computer science background and excellent Java or C++ and SQL skills and an eye toward maximizing software performance are highly desired, along with good interpersonal communication skills (developers here engage a lot with customers.)

I’m Phil Hurd, the principal of Oculus Search Partners. Software professionals have trusted me as their recruiting partner for 30 years because:

  • Expertise. I earned a BSEE and MSEE, and spent the first 4 years of my career as a computer engineer. With me, you’ll be represented by someone credible, who understands what you do and knows how to leverage that to create career opportunities for you.

  • Reputation. Over 60 LinkedIn recommendations attest to my integrity and effectiveness.

  • Network. I have personally placed, or been involved with placing, several thousand software engineers over my career, and have built a deep network with VPE’s, CEO’s, HR, etc. I can not only open doors for you at attractive companies, but can help you improve your resume, prepare you for interviews, and help you negotiate a strong offer.

  • No BS. I don’t like when a salesperson pressures me with aggressive tactics, and I’m pretty sure you don’t want that from a recruiter. You’re a professional, so am I, and my approach reflects that philosophy. I’m a good listener and like to do business openly and transparently.

  • Respect. I never forget that this is your job search, and your life. I’ll help you reach whatever career goals you have. We go at whatever pace you want. Furthermore, I will NEVER submit your resume to any company without prior discussion and buy-in from you.
