Controls/Electrical Engineer Job #2835 Ypsilanti, Michigan
Compensation: $50,000 - $70,000 per year.
Our Ypsilanti, Michigan client is experiencing growth in their controls department and looking to expand, creating a number of open positions. We are looking for individuals who can meet as many as the following qualifications as possible. Candidates that don't meet ALL the requirements will still be considered.
Requirements:
•Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience
•Prefer 5 years of experience in related electrical design work
•Knowledge of single and 3 phase motor wiring and control systems
•Ability to work with C++, PLC and PC based systems is a plus
•Ability to read and generate schematics and wiring diagrams
•Working proficiency of AutoCAD or similar 2D CAD package and basic office software
•Excellent communication skills in a group environment
•Demonstrate an ability to quickly comprehend technical material
•Ability to adjust to a fast paced project engineering environment
•Flexibility to reasonably adjust to international project meeting schedules
•PE is a plus
Responsibilities:
•Responsible for electrical needs for proposed system designs via Single Line Diagrams and calculate power requirements for wash systems being installed worldwide.
•Responsible for reviewing and recommending electrical hardware and components to be integrated into our wash systems.
•Work with our team in reviewing electrical, controls and programming of various wash systems designed by the company throughout their product lifecycles.
•Design and draft basic electrical engineering drawings of vehicle wash systems from specifications, sketches, models and prototype or verbal instructions.
•Provide assistance to the technical writing group for controls, wiring and operation descriptions of specific wash systems
•Occasional shop assembly, testing and field startup of electrical systems related to new product designs.
•Setup and/or program existing PC and PLC based distributed control systems utilized by InterClean
•Maintain involvement with multiple projects concurrently in Project Management
•Potential travel less than 25%
Compensation: $50,000 - $70,000 per year.
